How it all started...

Coppell Bible Fellowship began in 1990 when a small group gathered in a school cafeteria with a shared desire to follow God’s leading. Known then as Valley Community Church, the young congregation faced early challenges, including rising costs and a major relocation to Coppell. When key financial supporters stepped away, Pastor Barkef reminded the church that God—not people—is their true provider. In a powerful moment of faith, the exact funds needed for the move were pledged within a week. From those early days setting up worship spaces in a school cafeteria to launching a building fund with a quiet gift, God continued to lead, provide, and grow the vision.

As Coppell rapidly developed, the church was drawn to a beautiful 8.5-acre grove that seemed just out of reach—until, once again, God provided. Another $100,000 was raised in two weeks, confirming that the land was meant for this church. Within two years, the property was paid off, and Coppell Bible Fellowship opened the doors to a flexible, debt-free facility—built not by a few major donors, but by the faithful giving of many. Today, we stand as a living testimony of God’s provision, from our humble beginnings to our thriving church family, always trusting that He is our provider—yesterday, today, and forever.

Expanding the vision...

As Coppell Bible Fellowship continued to grow, so did our vision for what God was calling us to be in this community. With a desire to better reflect who we are and where we’re going, we refreshed our branding and officially embraced the name Coppell Bible—a name that points clearly to our identity, our mission, and our hometown. This update wasn’t just about a new logo or look; it was a reaffirmation of our commitment to being a church grounded in God’s Word and rooted in the heart of Coppell.

Alongside the name update, we’ve also taken steps to enhance our physical space—reimagining our building to be warm, welcoming, and family-focused. Every update has been made with purpose: to create an environment where kids feel excited, parents feel supported, and every person who walks through our doors feels safe and seen. Whether you're here for worship, midweek ministry, or just seeking connection, our goal is for Coppell Bible to feel like home—a place where lives are shaped, families are strengthened, and the love of Christ is experienced in real and tangible ways.

Where we are headed...

As we look to the future, Coppell Bible is focused on deepening our impact—not just within our church family, but across the broader community. We are committed to raising up disciples who live by God’s grace and for His glory, equipping people of all ages to walk with Jesus in everyday life. This means growing in our teaching, expanding our ministries, and developing meaningful opportunities for spiritual formation, service, and leadership. We believe that church is not just a place to attend, but a people on mission, and we want every person who calls Coppell Bible home to feel empowered to live out their faith with purpose and joy.

We also see our campus as more than a building—it’s a hub for life, support, and connection. As we move forward, we’re focused on creating intentional spaces for community: areas where kids feel safe and loved, where teens can ask big questions and grow in confidence, and where adults can find encouragement and belonging. Whether it’s through worship, outreach, counseling, or simply opening our doors to those in need, we want Coppell Bible to be known as a trusted, grace-filled presence in our city. The story God is writing here isn’t finished—and we’re excited to keep saying yes to wherever He leads next.
