Beyond Our Walls

At CBF, we believe the Bible is clear as it speaks to those who are fully devoted followers of Jesus by commanding us to care for the least of these (Matthew 25:45), to serve those in need (Matthew 20:28) and to reach those who do not know Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20).

We partner with nonprofit organizations locally and globally to change the world by using our gifts and talents to serve in Jesus’ name.

Local Opportunities

Christian Community Action

Meeting the needs of the disadvantaged in our community by providing food, housing, medical care, education and vocational training, along with vital personal and spiritual support. Visit www.ccahelps.org for more information.

International Ministry

We realize that getting familiar with a new country can be a little intimidating and we want to help! Our International Ministry provides friendship and care for internationals in our community.

We have friendship/game nights in American homes for the whole family to attend. You can get to know other internationals and new American friends.  We will share American and international foods, play games, and plan outings to American cultural events.

We have Americans who will be your friendship partner to mentor and help you get familiar with American rules & regulations, finding stores, understanding school policies, and more!

Also, if you are curious to learn more about the Bible and what it says about God, we also have women’s and men’s Bible classes (friendship and a place to ask questions!).

We also have available one-on-one teaching of the Bible to those who feel they would be more comfortable asking a lot of questions of one American friend instead of learning in a class setting.

Have Questions? Contact our International Ministry Team or visit our Internationals page.

Kids Beach Club

KiDs Beach Club® is a fun, “kid centered” club that meets one day a week, after school for one hour, at Wilson Elementary School in Coppell. Beach Club provides kids a Jesus experience within the culture of their public school.

  • Surf Team Leader – Provides encouragement and guidance to a small group of kids. Lead a short discussion regarding that week’s Bible lesson. [1½ hrs/week; Wednesdays 3:05-4:15pm]
  • Snack Queen/King – Provides snacks for approx. 70 kids one time per school year.
  • Prizes Queen/King – Provides small prizes for the kids ($3-$5 each), i.e. jewelry, small toys, journals, books, t-shirts). We give away 6-8 prizes per week.

BEACH CLUB NEEDS PRIZES!
We need 7-8 prizes/week to be given to award kids who actively participate in the lessons. Please keep your eyes open for clearance items as you shop ($3-5 prizes appropriate for 3rd-5th graders. Examples: jewelry, plaques, magnets, small books, devos, toy cars, legos, etc). You can also contribute toward prizes and/or toward school supply packs for kids in need at Wilson Elementary. Drop off donated items in Marla’s office. Add “Beach Club prizes” and/or “Wilson School Supplies” in the memo section of your check. Contact Tracy VanSickle with questions.

Global Opportunities

The Amazon River

The Amazon Rainforest is a breathtaking tropical paradise!

The majestic scenery, the lush smell of the rainforest, with a symphony of macaws, parrots and other tropical birds and monkeys playing in the trees above is something that most people have only imagined.

The only thing that surpasses the beauty of its landscape is the beauty of the people of the Amazon. Their sweet, humble and welcoming spirit is a blessing to all who meet them.

Trip Snapshot

Join us as our Senior Pastor leads us through this strikingly beautiful environment on a 95-foot yacht of a boat and experience the awe and joy of sharing the love of God with children, teenagers and adults who know very little, if anything, about Jesus Christ.

God has designed this mission trip in a way that allows us to show His love powerfully but in the most simplistic ways . . .

  • Play frisbee or color with children
  • Play soccer with teenagers and men
  • Brush hair and paint fingernails
  • Simply talk about everyday life issues that we share in common such as marriage, raising kids, balancing work and family, etc.

God uses these simple and easy means to show His love for the people of the Amazon, through us, and draws them to Himself in the process. If you can do any of these things, then God has already prepared you to be used mightily by Him on this mission of mercy.
