Easter Weekend at Coppell Bible
Friday, April 7: Good Friday
5 – 8 pm in the Worship Center
Please join us for our Good Friday time of reflection and prayer in the CBF Worship Center. This will be a change from the service we have held in previous years, and is designed to be an interactive time for individuals and families. The church will be open from 5-8 pm and you can come and go as your schedule allows. Participants can take as much time as they need to walk through the four stations that focus on the day of Jesus’ death on the cross. The individual stations will utilize readings, activities, prayer and communion to engage participants in a garden setting.
Saturday, April 8: Easter Family Picnic
11 am – 1 pm on the CBF grounds
Come celebrate Easter with family and friends on the CBF grounds from 11 am-1 pm. We will have an Easter egg hunt by age group. Bring an easter egg basket, lunch, chairs, and your family and friends for a great time. Contact Nathan Lee with any questions.
Easter Sunday, April 9
Two identical Easter Sunday services at 9 am and 10:45 am, or anytime online.
Join CBF at 9 am or 10:45 am for our Easter celebration service as we experience worship and the message of our Risen Savior! These identical services will include a time of worship and a message with something for the whole family, including Children’s Ministry for birth through 5th grade. Additionally, at 9 am we will have Awana at 9am for 3 years old to 12th grade, and Sunday School for birth to 2 years old. At 10:45 am, we will have Sunday School for birth to 2nd grade.
Flowering Cross
Each year during Easter, a cross draped in purple fabric, signifying Christ’s triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, stands on the church property. On Good Friday, the cloth will be changed to black fabric, signifying Christ’s crucifixion and death. Then on Easter Sunday, flowers & greenery cover the cross to celebrate that Christ is alive!
All CBF attendees are invited to bring flowers & greenery to place on the cross before the morning worship services on Easter Sunday. You can use flowers or greenery from your yard or purchase them.
