Women's Studies

Elijah by Priscilla Shirer

  • Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30pm starting September 22 in Room 206

  • This study focuses on the life and times of the prophet Elijah to help us understand the value of seasons of growth and testing in your spiritual maturity & be encouraged to wait on God’s good work in your heart and mind while learning to trust in the goodness and faithfulness of God and His purposes for your life.

PRECEPT: Luke – Part 1 (continued)

  • Tuesdays, 9:30-11:30am starting September 7 in Room 206
  • Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30pm starting September 8, offsite in Coppell
  • Cost $30 (only for new participants); returning participants should select “I have my own book” when registering

  • The Gospel of Luke is a walk-through of events in Jesus’ life. We’ll learn from His words, His walk and His relationships what it really means to “follow Him.” Hear what Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God and how you, today, can be prepared for the difficult times ahead and to stand before the Son of Man.

W3 | Women’s Workout & Worship

  • Saturdays @ 8:45am year-round in The Summit or Back Parking Lot
  • Ladies, come find joy in movement, joy in community and joy in God’s grace. We work out together most Saturday mornings & have Function Fitness and Flexibility, Faith, Food and Fellowship (F6) on 3rd Saturdays. Bring your mat, hand weights, water & a friend.

Men's Studies

Experiencing God & The Bible Chronologically

  • Fridays, 6:30-7:30am year-round in The Summit
  • In person or virtual options available
  • EARLY BIRDS and TRAVELERS! The purpose of this study is to encourage spiritual growth in the life of men. It’s an in-depth review of the bible and includes coffee, a lesson with group discussion, life application, and prayer.
  • There is no homework and your participation in the discussion can be as much or as little as you like. Our group welcomes both men from CBF as well as men from the community, so feel free to bring a friend. No registration necessary.

  • We’ll meet to discuss various topical studies including Called for a Purpose by Dr. Tony Evans, Finding the Love of Your Life by Pastor Rick Warren, “Pray Yet: A Study of Habakkuk” led by Mark Scott and It’s Not Too Late by Dr. Tony Evans.
