LIFE EXPERIENCES:
All of us have significant experiences in our lives, both good and bad, that help shape who we are today. God desires to use them all for His good. Our experiences become valuable tools for ministry as we serve others. In determining your S.H.A.P.E., it’s helpful to consider at least six kinds of experiences from your past:
FAMILY Experiences - What did I learn growing up in my family?
EDUCATIONAL Experiences - What were my favorite subjects in school?
VOCATIONAL Experiences - What jobs have I been most effective in and enjoyed most?
SPIRITUAL Experiences - What have been my most meaningful times with God?
MINISTRY Experiences - How has God used me to serve Him in the past?
CHALLENGING Experiences - What challenges, difficulties or trials have I learned from? Note: It is often in the category of challenging experiences that God prepares you for ministry. God doesn’t waste anything!
Take a few minutes to reflect on the experiences you listed above. Ask God to help you determine what were the three most significant and defining events. These would be the three in which you have the most powerful memories and/or learnings. In the space provided below, identify the experience, and the key thing God taught you through it.

What is one challenging area of life God has helped you through that you think He could possibly use to help another person with his/her life?
