At CB KiDS, our heart is for every child to experience God for a lifetime. We know that faith begins in the home, around the dinner table, at bedtime, or even in the carpool line, and you don’t have to do it alone. That’s why we’ve created this space just for you. Here you’ll find 3 weekly family devotionals aligning with our Sunday lessons, a Spotify playlist to fill your home with truth, and other resources to encourage you along the way.
Parenting is better when we do it together, and at CB KiDS we’re with you—cheering you on as you raise KiDS who love and follow Jesus.

Week 1 | Day 1: Family Devo
God Forgives Us
Scripture: 103:12; 1 John 1:9
Big Idea: His grace covers our sin completely.
Day 1 — Family Devo
Read the Passage Together
Bible Reading — Psalm 103:8-12 (NKJV):
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9 He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

What were some attributes about God that we learned when we read this passage?
Ex: Merciful, compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, forgiving
God forgives our sins when we believe that Jesus is our Savior! We don’t ever have to worry about “being in trouble” with God. He always forgives us. Jesus never sinned and He sacrificed Himself for us so God does not see our mistakes anymore, He sees Jesus’ perfect life instead!
Talk About It:

- Do you believe that God has forgiven you for your bad choices?
Pray Together:
“Dear God,
Thank You for loving us so much. Thank You for being kind and slow to get angry. Thank You for forgiving our sins because of Jesus. Help us to trust in You, receive Your forgiveness, and share Your love with others. We love You, God.
In Jesus Name I pray,

Day 2 — Family Activity
From the East to the West Family Walk
Main Idea: East and west go on forever—our forgiveness is forever.
How to do it:
- Say: “Let’s walk east!” (Pick a direction.)
- Walk In that direction, after a while ask: “Did we run out of east?”
- Turn around and walk back: “Now let’s walk west!”
- After a while ask again. Ask: “Did we run out of west?”
- “You can keep going east or west forever. That’s how far God removes our sin from us because of Jesus.”

Family Challenge for the Week:
Think about one thing you did this week that you need forgiveness from God for. Share it with your family and thank God together that when we trust in Jesus as our Savior, He forgives us!
