Experience God For A Lifetime

Our heartbeat at CB KiDS is simple: we want every KiD to experience God for a lifetime. These resources are here to help you bring faith into the everyday moments at home—because parenting is better when we do it together.

At CB KiDS, our heart is for every child to experience God for a lifetime. We know that faith begins in the home, around the dinner table, at bedtime, or even in the carpool line, and you don’t have to do it alone. That’s why we’ve created this space just for you. Here you’ll find weekly family devotionals aligning with our Sunday lessons, a Spotify playlist to fill your home with truth, and other resources to encourage you along the way.

Parenting is better when we do it together, and at CB KiDS we’re with you—cheering you on as you raise KiDS who love and follow Jesus.

Faith at home starts now!

The Month of August

In August, we are starting at the very beginning and over the next two years, our kids will learn how the Biggest Story (the Story of Jesus’ rescue of us) is woven throughout every part of the bible, from beginning to end and everywhere in between. Our hope is to give kids at Coppell Bible the foundational understanding that the whole Bible is about God’s love for us and His rescue plan to save us from sin through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection!

Big Truth:

God created us in His image, He loves us, and He had a plan to rescue us from sin from the very beginning through Jesus.

Memory Verse Ephesians 1:4

“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”

Week of August 2nd

Bible Passage: Genesis 1-2

Big Idea: A very good God made a very good world, with humans as his very good image bearers.

Discussion Questions:

  • Toddlers/Preschool: Who made the world? (God!) What did God say about everything He made? (It was very good!) Who made you? (God!) How did God make people special? (He made us in His image!)
  • Early Elementary: What did God create uniquely to be like Him? What does it mean that God made people in His image? Why did God make us this way?
  • Preteens: What does the story of creation teach us about what God is like? (powerful, loving, creative, etc.) How should being made in God’s image affect the way we view ourselves, other people, and the world God created?

Prayer:
"God, thank You for creating a very good world and for making us in Your image. Help us to care for Your creation and treat others with love, dignity, and respect. We love because you love us. Thank You for making us and loving us. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen."

Family Challenge of the Week:
This week, spend time together enjoying the world God made together. Go on a walk, visit a park, have a picnic outside, look at the stars, or simply spend time observing the plants, animals, sky, and other parts of God’s creation around you.

As you spend time outside, take turns pointing out something you see and saying, “God made that, and it is good!”

Take time to thank God for the beauty and goodness of His creation and remember that He made people uniquely in His image.
