Choices & Consequences
An Interactive Drug & Alcohol Awareness Program
Monday, July 24th, 6:30 - 8:30pm in the Summit (upstairs)
CBF Student Ministry is sponsoring a Drug & Alcohol Awareness Program taught by the Coppell Police Department. It's not just for teens, but for adults as well. Officers Freeman, Warmsley & Harr will not only educate you, but provide several hands-on experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to drive the SIDNE car (Simulated Impaired Driving Experience) and experience impairment goggles.
Substance abuse education is important for adults and youth alike; there are many misconceptions about commonly used legal and illegal substances and this two-hour program is designed to help start conversations and educate you while offering simulations designed to be fun, but also show the seriousness of drug and alcohol abuse.
Knowledge is power and with accurate information, you will be more likely to make a fact-based and informed decision. During this program, all drugs will be discussed, including opioids, cocaine, methamphetamines, as well as marijuana and alcohol. Specifics will be covered to make you aware of the damage that all drugs/alcohol can do to the body, mind and relationships.
The wise prevail through great power, and those who have knowledge muster their strength. Proverbs 24:5
